NBA Summer League 2012 Game 5 Open Thread: Wizards Vs. Bucks

The Washington Wizards will conclude their 2012 NBA Summer League schedule with a game against the Milwaukee Bucks at 4 p.m. on Comcast SportsNet and NBATV. The Wizards are currently 2-2, with wins over the Houston Rockets and Memphis Grizzlies, as well as losses to the Atlanta Hawks and NBA D-League Select team.

The Bucks have played just one game in Vegas thus far: a 76-68 victory over the New Orleans Hornets on Monday night. Top draft picks John Henson didn't play, and it remains to be seen if he'll play today. However, second-rounder Doron Lamb did and fared very well. Lamb was one of the guys I was hoping the Wizards would consider instead of Tomas Satoransky at No. 32, and early results are encouraging for Bucks fans. He scored 20 points on 6-12 from the field and 8-9 from the line. Second-year player Tobias Harris was also very good, and third-year big man Larry Sanders is a formidable body inside. Brew Hoop has more on Lamb and Harris.

UPDATE: It looks like Henson is playing.

I'm hoping to see the Wizards unleash Bradley Beal's game a bit more in this one. Through the first four games, he's mostly functioned as a spot-up shooter and off-ball player. When they're running plays for him, they've been pindowns. I'd like to see the Wizards test out his pick and roll ability more to see how he fares there. The only time they did was early against the Rockets, and I thought Beal looked very good there. Let him work out the kinks, you know? Summer League is as good a time as any to evaluate this stuff.

I'll be watching this one on delay. Thomas is recapping. Discuss the game here.
